So today I finally decided after receiving an email from my insurance company to advise them of my current weekly mileage that I’m doing in my Tesla Model 3. Due to the lockdown, my average mileage per week has significantly decreased from around 250 miles to 300 miles a week down to an average less than 10 miles per week. upon calling my insurance company ‘Direct Line’ they advised me that it was a very simple short process to complete.

I spoke to someone called Sarah who was extremely helpful and guided me through the process. She asked me no more than five quick questions and the process was completed. She advised me in the next couple of weeks, to a maximum of 30 days that I would receive I refund for approximately £187 which is going to be used towards accessories for my Model 3.

I would certainly advise that anybody who has not already updated their mileage who is doing reduced mileage should advise their insurance company. Not only may it reduce your insurance premium but also keeps details up to date around where your car is during the day. Please note your amount will vary.
